Description:
First fly with us to downtown LA to learn salsa on the 1— the faster, more stacco and easier style of salsa danced on the first beat of the music. Then take off for the warm Dominican Republic to begin the bachata, with its three side steps of Cuban motion followed by a flirty hip pop.
Starting Friday, April 10th, from 7 to 7:45 p.m., you will learn how the salsa has a slotted structure, with the leader in the center of the action and the follower whirling in and out. The bachata does not have as many turns as the salsa — but its embrace-like hold and its soft hip movement has an appeal all its own.
This is a great pair of dances for a crowded dance floor, but it at the dance club of your dreams or the reality of being at home!
